This is an example of what we can do.  The image on the left is a scan of a button
pin from the early part of the 20th Century.  The button measures about 1-3/4"
wide by about 2-3/4" high.  There were many  flaws in the button, such as
scratches, gouges and the print on the bottom, which you would probably not want
present in your final restoration.  So, the printed advertising on the bottom of the
oval pin was removed, and the color of the white marble background was
corrected.  The basket's red bow and handle , as well as the yellow color of the
basket itself were intensified, and the colors of the flowers along the sides of the
handle were enhanced and brought out to show a more vivid display.  As you can
see, almost all of the original color in the picture of Grandma herself, was faded
and gone.  The colorization process used here restored the vivid green background
behind grandma's head, but we wanted Grandma to have a more delicate look, so
we did a "pastel" colorization, including the brown hair, dark brown eyes, and the
rosy cheeks that are characterstic of an enthusiastic young lady of her age.  The
final file, seen on the right,  was used to make a 4"X 6" print, as well as an 8"X
10" Print.

In this project, we successfully used the following services:

Photograph Restoration-to remove evidence of scratches, cracks and
physically damaged areas on the photo button.

Photograph Colorizing-to give Grandma back her rosy cheeks and a
"better-than-mustard-color" look, and to re-color the flowers on the
basket.  Since this photo had an "Easter" theme, we simply used a light
violet background behind the button.

Photograph Color Enhancement-to fix the existing colors of the basket,
ribbon, and the background ivory/marble of the button.

Tinting and Color Correction were done throughout to make the photo look
"right".

This is a good example of a project where many of the possible services and
techniques we have available to us come into play. This is a photo enhancement, a
photo restoration and a photo colorization, and it also serves to show that
charging strictly on a "per service" basis, as many photograph restoration
services do, can have a very hard impact on your wallet!  That's why we ask you to
use our price list as a guide, only, and get a firm quote from us.  For a complex
restoration such as this one, we can give you a quote for the overall project,
taking your wallet into consideration as well as giving you
"the photo you really
want!"

Please remember that prices do not include return shipping or mailing of
original or restored materials.
